Matchplay

Players will be paired up with various partners (coed) over the course of four weeks and play two out of three set matches. The player with the most games won at the end of the session will win the league.

Play four matches over four weeks. Call your opponent from the attached match schedule to set up a day and time to play and then call the office to book your court. Balls are provided and available at the tennis trailer during open hours (M-F 10am-6pm; Sat & Sun 9am-5pm).Call the office at 773-278-8877 or email info@tennisonthelake.com to book your court.

Rules

For 60-minute matches, players will have a 10-minute warm-up and play an 8-game no-ad pro set. A 12-point tiebreaker (first player to 7 points, win by two) will be played at 8 games all.

For 90-minute matches, players will have a 15-minute warm-up and play a 2 out of 3 set matches with no-ad scoring. If players split sets, a 12-point tiebreaker (first player to 7 points, win by two) will be played in lieu of a third set.

League Scoring: The winner of the match is responsible for reporting scores back to the office by calling 773-278-8877 or emailing > info@tennisonthelake.com

8-game pro set: Each player receives 1.5 points for each game won. The winner of the match gets an additional 3 points. (Maximum 15 Points)

2 out of 3 set matches: Each player receives 1 point for each game won. The winner of the match gets an additional 3 points. (Maximum 15 points)

The league player with the most total points at the end of the four-week session will receive a $15 gift certificate that can be applied to any purchases at Tennis On The Lake or the Tennis Trailer Pro Shop and be eligible for advancement to a higher division.

The total number of league registrations will determine the final format for each session’s matches.
