Junior Tennis Camps

Ages: 5 – 17 years old

Location: Northbrook Racquet Club, 2995 Dundee Rd, Northbrook, IL 60062

Monday to Friday every week from June 8th to July 3rd

Drop-In and Custom Schedules are also available for Junior Camp at the rate of $30 per hour for students who can not attend the entire week of camp. To schedule, please contact the Tennis on the Lake office with your dates and times of attendance.

Drop-in rates:

Half-Day Tennis Camp

Cost: $369
AM Camp 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Register
PM Camp 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Register

The morning or afternoon half-day camps consist of approximately 90 minutes warm-up and stroke development (drilling technique for groundstrokes, volleys and serve), followed by a 15-20 minute snack break. The remaining time is spent playing a variety of level-specific games that help students to further develop their skills in a fun, competitive scenario. On Friday of each week, campers will participate in either the “Tennis Jamboree” or a modified tournament with prizes to test their skills acquired over the week of camp.

Full-Day Tennis Camp

Cost: $659
Full-Day Camp 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Register

The full-day camps consist of approximately 90 minutes warm-up and stroke development

(drilling technique for groundstrokes, volleys and serve), followed by a 15-20 minute snack

break. The remaining time is spent playing a variety of level-specific games that help students to further develop their skills in a fun, competitive scenario. We will then take the kids to nearby Wood Oaks Green Park where we will have lunch and relax from 12-1 pm. There is a fishing pond if the kids wish to fish during the break. At 1 pm we will return to the tennis club for the afternoon session that will follow a similar format as the morning. At 4 pm the campers will be ready for pickup or board the shuttle back to Chicago. On Friday of each week, campers will participate in either the “Tennis Jamboree” or a modified tournament with prizes to test their skills acquired over the week of camp.

High School Tennis Camp

Cost: $369
Half-Day Camp 1:00 am to 4:00 pm Register

Specifically designed for campers age 13-17. Whether you are trying to make your junior high or high school team or trying to make it to number one, this is the camp for you! Campers are grouped according to age and skill level with opportunities to move up in the group through competition. While we still work on technical proficiency, more emphasis is spent on match play tactics and strategy. Students will have an opportunity to play in a real tournament at the end of the week.

Camp Attendee Information

Shuttle Information

There will be 2 pick-up and drop-off locations, one in Lakeview and one Downtown. Pick-up time at the Lakeview stop will be at 8am and 8:30am Downton. Drop-off time will be 4:30pm Downtown and 5pm in Lakeview. Masks will be provided for the shuttle ride for campers that don’t have their own. Shuttle service is available for an additional $50 fee per week per camper. Please email us at info@tennisonthelake.com if you will be requiring shuttle service.

What to Bring Each Day:

All players should bring a racquet and water bottle. Players should also bring a snack (we’ll have a morning and afternoon snack break) and a lunch if they are with us for the full day.

We will have a cooler box, fridge, and freezer where the players can keep their lunches fresh during their camp.

Please let us know of any allergies that your campers might have and make sure they have an EpiPen with them.

Fridays

At the end of our camp on Fridays, we will have a tournament for our more proficient campers and an exciting jamboree for our pioneers. There will be report cards and awards for the campers, so try to do your best!
