Tennis Club in Chicago, Illinois is looking for Tennis Professionals and Administrative/Pro Shop Associates. Principal Club locations in Chicago’s Gold Coast and Lincoln Park.
Tennis Professional applicants should have a minimum 4.0 NTRP player rating. Previous coaching experience, collegiate play, participation in high-level USTA junior competition, and professional coaching certifications are a plus but not necessary to apply.
We also have additional full-time positions or ancillary part-time shifts available for administrative front desk, customer relations, class management, marketing, and pro shop operations. Tennis racquet stringing experience a plus for administrative/pro shop applicants.
All new hires will be required to review provided training materials, attend mandatory paid training sessions, and shadow established Senior Tennis Professionals or Administrative Managers to become familiar with program operations and master standardized technique teaching methods and drills.
Tennis Professional duties include:
· Providing group and private lessons for juniors and adults from beginner to advanced level.
· Promoting tennis programs and pro shop services within the club.
· Being familiar with our player rating system to place students in appropriate classes.
· Maintaining cleanliness of tennis courts and surrounding areas.
· Adherence to Company policies and procedures.
Tennis Professional coaching rates range from $18-$30 per hour, up to $60K annually, for new hires – based on experience and full-time/part-time status.
Flexible Scheduling – We have full-time, part-time, seasonal and year-round positions available for our indoor and outdoor tennis programs for qualifying applicants. Junior camps run weekday daytimes. Adult lessons run primarily during early mornings, evenings and weekends. While scheduling is flexible, applicants must be able to commit to a regular schedule and be available for occasional instructor substitutions.
